Responsibilities for tool designer

• Design Press tooling based on customer requirements

• Execute design work with attention to detail

• Meet schedules and maintain quality standards

• Participate in projects with regards to new tool development and introduction

• Identify components that are required to be sourced externally and co-ordinate demands with purchasing

• Follow all company policies, procedures and guidelines take actions that support teamwork, safety, and good housekeeping

• Modify existing tool designs and document changes

• Tool Design Engineers must ensure that project spending remains within budgeted guidelines

• May be required to provide external tool design engineering support to ensure cost-effective production of products from all members of our vendor groups

• Plans, coordinates and performs designs for complex components and assemblies using the preferred 3-Dimensional (3D) Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tool and protocols
